Located on the Right Bank of the Dordogne River, 50 kilometres from Bordeaux in the heart of the Saint-Émilion appellation, the estate was established in the early 19th century and is now recognised as one of the leading properties of the appellation, in terms of both its size and the quality of its wines.

VINIFICATION

Harvest: manual
Type of vats: heat regulated tronconic stainless steel vats
Vinification:
– parcel selection
– mechanical sorting
– vatting of 25 to 30 days: reasoned daily extraction, hot postfermentation maceration
Aging: 40% in new oak barrels and 60% in barrels of one or two wines, French oak, during 12 months
Blend: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
Average yield: 38hl/hectare
Second wine: Les Roches de Yon, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
