Château Yon-Figeac welcomes visitors to its cellars all year round. Audrey Chauvet, our wine tourism manager, has designed a range of guided tours to showcase the history and heritage of this charming estate.

Traditional Tour
Welcome to Château Yon-Figeac ! Our tour begins with a presentation of the history of the estate and château, typical of the Saint-Emilion appellation.
We then dive into the terroir of Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion, ending with a focus on our estate, our classified vines and our grape varieties. We’ll enter the sparkling vat room, renovated in 2021, to talk about our winemaking techniques, then our barrel cellar where we’ll talk about the ageing of our wines.
Finally, you’ll taste three wines from the estate: our second wine Les Roches de Yon (Saint-Emilion Grand Cru) in two different vintages, and our first wine, Château Yon-Figeac (Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé).
Barrel Tasting
Sample the wine yourself from the barrel !
To understand the influence of wood on wine, we suggest you taste the same vintage from three different barrels. You’ll have the privilege of tasting a wine during the process of ageing.
The origin of the wood, the toasting and the age of the barrel will no longer hold any secrets for you ! We’ll also talk about the history of the estate and our winemaking methods.
Finally, you’ll taste two of the estate’s wines: our second wine, Les Roches de Yon (Saint-Emilion Grand Cru) and our first wine, Château Yon-Figeac (Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé).
